The DIA Philosophy

Choose
Self Acceptance Over Self Improvement.

You don’t need to improve your “self.”

There are a million ways to work on your life. You can improve your effort, your determination, or your focus. You can improve your finances, your relationships, or the way your body looks and feels to you.

But these aren’t self improvements. These are life improvements, circumstance improvements, or changes that bring about improved outcomes.

The difference is: If you don’t accept and embrace yourself at your worst, NONE of these improvements will matter.

There is no “best” self.

There is one self. That self is not good or bad, ever.
That self purely exists.

When we accept ourselves at our “lowest” or our “average” or on any given day, nothing can take that away.

When our self image, self love, and self care are contingent on a specific outcome, a rate of performance, or a set of expectations — it won’t matter how much you achieve, how skinny you get, how rich you are, or who loves you.

All you have then is contingency.
And contingency is a moving goal post.

When you can accept yourself, you can be yourself.
And in being yourself, you vibrate higher and higher.

When you can’t accept yourself, you can’t be yourself.
And in rejecting yourself, you vibrate lower and lower.

DIA exists to help you find, accept, and align with your truest self.

We aren’t here to chnage or improve you.
We’re here to celebrate you as you are, no matter what.
And through DIA, you’ll learn to do that, too.

The Ordained Birth of DIA

I had been reading tarot and doing self development work with mentees, clients, and seekers for years before I developed the first DIA program. DIA came from an observed lack of resources for people who don’t yet know themselves or experience a loss of self.

I wanted to address this because without intuition, self signaling, and a clear vision for our lives, we are easily swayed, led astray, or left at the starting line of our own lives.
Without that clarity of who we are, what we stand for, how we prefer to live and be treated, we give those reins to someone else. We live at the mercy of trend and tabloid, friend or foe, and we become a victim of every circumstance.

I wanted to create a space, and a spiritual program, for people to come into themselves.

I felt this was separate from astrology and human design and tarot — though linked to them.
I felt this was separate from life path and career mentorship — though relevant.
I knew this was separate from therapy and friendship and “self-help.”

This isn’t self help. You don’t need help. You need a sanctum.
All you really need is a safe, affirming space to open up, discover, and become.

That’s what DIA is for me. That’s what DIA is for you.

D

DISCOVERY

Before you can work on things like self acceptance and self love, you need self acquaintance.

We begin with the discovery of your identity, your preferences, your personality, your biases and beliefs, your ethos and ethic, your values, and your vision for your life. With this, you can begin to build upon “the self.”

I

INTUITION

Your intuition isn’t just handed to you, fully formed. In fact, some people can’t connect to theirs at all.

Developing your intuition is a PRACTICE and requires focused attention, commitment, and access to your truest self. You can’t bypass this step and still expect to live with alignment, purpose, and peace.

A

ALIGNMENT

To achieve alignment in your life, you first must discover your truest self and build that relationship to your intuition.

Once you do, alignment is easy. You learn to move with the waves of your life instead of against them. You learn to explore and experience life with curiosity and trust. You make decisions with a sense of knowing readiness.

WHY “SANCTUM”?

A Sanctum is a
safe space to be
with yourself

The word “sanctum” is very old. It comes from the Latin “sanctus” meaning “holy” and the latin “sancire” meaning “to consecrate” or “declare sacred.”

Sanctum can refer to a sacred place like an altar, shrine, or temple. It’s a holy place, to connect with your version fof God, the Universe, the Source, the Earth or even…. the SELF.
Sanctum can also refer to a “private place from which most people are excluded.” In this way, a sanctum is a safe and secluded place made just for you.

No one can interrupt, invalidate, or violate your sanctum. It’s protected.

This is exactly the type of place I wanted to create for those of us seeking intimacy with ourselves, and a connection with everything beyond ourselves.

In the DIA sanctum, you are safe to be yourself, be with yourself, and seek yourself with me.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

…………………………………………………………………

A HEALTHY SOCIETY IS ONE FULL OF PEOPLE WHO KNOW THEMSELVES.

A lot of hatred, violence, resentment, and disrespect is a projection of a lost self seeking belonging in the wrong ways.

A lot of what we pursue (fame, wealth) is just us playing a game to earn one thing: approval.

And it’s easier to force approval than to earn belonging.

…………………………………………………

SELF ACQUAINTANCE COMES BEFORE SELF ACCEPTANCE AND
SELF LOVE.

You’re not struggling with loving yourself because you’re “bad at love” nor because you are unlovable.

You are struggling with self love because you can’t love an entity you don’t know well.

Getting deeply and intimately acquainted is the first step to any love story.

…………………………………………………

THERE ARE NO FORMER OR FUTURE SELVES:
YOU ARE SINGULAR.

You are a singular being. You evolve with the ebbs and flows of your lived experience, and so does your “self.”

The differences you perceive in who you were “then” vs. now are not differences in the self. They’re differences in preference, expression, or perspective.

The self is the nucleus inside the ever-changing person.
…………………………………………………

WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU IS BEST FOR THE UNIVERSE.

You might have heard some spiritualists theorize that you are “the Universe experiencing itself.”

That’s somewhat true. And no matter what, you are an important thread in the fabric of our reality.

Just like biodiversity benefits the ecosystem, your unique pattern and path benefits the collective.

3 TENETS OF THE DIA SANCTUM

The DIA Sanctum is a safe, welcoming, and enveloping space for you to do your best self-work, uninterrupted by the pressures and prying eyes of the outer world.

When you’re in session with me, working on a ritual or exercise on your own, or moving through any of the resources provided by the Sanctum, you can rely on these three things:

YOU ARE MAGICAL.

Your birth was a miracle. Everything you’ve done since then has been magically driven, fed, and guided in a mutual dance between you and the Universe.

If you’ve ever marveled at nature or rendered breathless by the magnanimity of outer space, the ocean, or spring’s first bloom, then surely you should marvel at the magic of YOU, too.

At DIA, we’re not looking for some special sign or signal that you’re made of magic. We already know.

I’m just here to help you see it.

YOU ARE SAFE.

Safety isn’t just a bodily feeling or an avoidance of harm. True safety and security lives inside your brain and belly.

Here, you can feel safe to express yourself no matter how “weird” you think your interests or needs may be.

You are safe in the DIA Sanctum regardless of your the body you’re in, the life you live, the preferences you have or the beliefs you hold true.

The only stipulation is that you behave safely and respectfully any time you’re in a DIA space, at a DIA event, or otherwise moving with this community.

YOU ARE FREE.

With safety, comes freedom.

We don’t shame here. While I will hold you accountable and in accord of the basic laws of inter-humanity and treating people with decency, I will not limit how you speak, what you say, what you feel, or how you express it.

You’re allowed to be depressed, sad, angry, frustrated, numb, fearful, pessimistic, optimistic, unsure, uninspired, and unproductive.

Here, you’re not being graded, judged, watched over or surveiled, demanded of, poked or prodded. This isn’t school, work, or prison.

This is your sanctum, now.
